Hello from Bechard Family Farm,

Are you looking for healthy meats?  Our family farm is dedicated to producing the most nutritious & delicious meats & food possible.  2008 marks our 9th year of providing healthy & delicious meats to families like yours.  We offer 5 different pasture-raised meats: chicken, turkey, beef, lamb, and pork.  The fresh chickens and turkeys are sold on a pre-order basis.  Frozen chickens, turkeys, and all other meats are sold 'as available' year round.

ALL Bechard Family Farm animals live on chemical-free pastures getting lots of sunshine, grass, and fresh country air…not routine antibiotics, hormones, or medications.  Out meats are good for you AND they’re delicious!  Our beef and lamb are grass fed their entire lives.  The chickens & turkeys live in floorless shelters that are moved to fresh grass every day.  The shelters protect them from predators and inclement weather while still allowing access to fresh grass and bugs.  The chickens & turkeys are fed our custom feed mix to insure that it contains no antibiotics or recycled animal proteins.

Our family butchers the chickens and turkeys here on the farm.  You can pick up your order here at the farm and take advantage of our “Pick-up day at the farm" price, or for your convenience, we also deliver fresh chickens to Springfield.  Please see the schedule for details.  We pack the birds on ice so that when you pick them up, they will be VERY cold, but not frozen.  Chickens or turkeys that are delivered OR picked at the farm after the scheduled farm pick-up date will be charged the delivered price due to the additional expense of running the freezers.

For the 6th year now, our Springfield delivery will again be at Mama Jean's Natural Market.  Later this year, Mama Jean's will be opening a 2nd store!  We will be delivering chickens & turkeys to BOTH stores.  Customers meet us in the parking lot at Mama Jean’s on the scheduled dates to pick up their chickens or turkeys.  We don't have the details of pickup times worked out just yet.  Please stay tuned!  Be sure to visit their store(s).  This great store buys local products as much as possible.  With their friendly staff and great selection, you're sure to be pleased!

We also bring chickens with us to farmers' market.  Call or check our web-site contact page to see if we participate in a market near you.  If market is closer to you, pre-order your chickens now and pick them up from Armand at market.  They will be the delivered price.

Don’t miss our Award Winning Whole Wheat Bread, made with freshly ground wheat kernels.  We grind the grain the morning the bread is made and never before.  This guarantees you the freshest bread possible.

Do you need jam for your bread?  We make eleven flavors of homemade jam!  You can choose from Applebutter, Blackberry, Blueberry, Gooseberry, Peach, Raspberry-Rhubarb, Red Cherry, Red Raspberry, Rhubarb, Strawberry, & Strawberry-Rhubarb!  They taste wonderful on a slice of whole-wheat toast!
